Rutledge-Wilson Farm

We recently took Addi to the Rutledge-Wilson Farm in Springfield and wanted to share her photos. She had a really good time, mostly when playing on the playground equipment.

More pictures of Addi

Here are some adoreable pictures of Addi with Steve and a few of her in her dress before church. She also likes to try my shoes on when I'm at work...funny girl!

Happy July

Haven't posted in a while. My sister in-law is religious about her blog postings...she's making me look like a bad mom! I'd better catch up!

Addi is good as always. She has been enjoying the warm weather. She is great to help Steve and I water the flowers in the front and back yards (flood them is more like it).

She has been spending some time in her own personal pool in the backyard. Just today we went swimming in Republic's aquatics park with one of her buddies and one of my sorority sisters from my old college days. The girls had a lot of fun!

After our swimming, the girls had a playdate and we spoiled them with Happy Meals from McDonald's. Needless to say, Addi crashed pretty hard for her afternoon nap today. Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th!

Fantastic Caverns

Well, to quote Steve, Addison went "spelunking" today! She and her friend Paige (the babysitter's daughter) took a trip to Fantastic Caverns!

Apparently the girls had fun both in and outside the caves! My favorite is the picture of the two sombrero-type hats with legs! I still can't quite figure out how the babysitter kept up with this wild couple and a newborn! More power to her! She is braver than me!

Addi's two!

Addi is officially two now and I have not been very diligent in posting lately! Thought I had better catch up!

She had a good birthday party. We had a small group of family and friends over to the house and we had cupcakes, fruit, punch and snacks. The kiddies had fun. Her good buddies Grace and Carter came to the party and they all went outside and played in the backyard on her new swingset. They are all so cute! They all had fun with their new shades on!

Potato decorator and aspiring painter!

Here are just a few of Addison's creative pieces from the past two days. She got a bit wild with Mr. Potato Head. She's got the general idea down. If she would only learn that Mr. Potato Head does not need four eyes and an ear in the middle of his face, we'd be set!

Also of news is that I'm considering going back to work full-time. Right now though both my boss and I are doing some thinking about this. He'd like to see me come on as full-time and I have merely asked what the chances are that all supervisors might be able to work four 10-hour workdays versus the usual five 8-hour days. He is thinking about it and trying to see if it will work for us. This would only put Addi in one additional day of daycare and I would still work every Saturday (kind of a bummer), but Steve and I don't do much on weekends anyway.
Steve has recently been asked to learn all of the ins and outs of a different type of software with Jack Henry. He would basically be the go-to and guru of this type of software when technical issues arise with banks using it. This would result in a pay raise for him which is always nice. He's being very modest about it and has not mentioned it to many so he may kill me for posting news of it on this blog. But I feel as though it's worth mentioning...I'm proud of him!

Addi and Mommy

I forgot to post the picture that Addi and I had done for Valentine's Day!
